Lorne is originally from Scotland, but came across to the United States in 2005. He has played/lived in three continents, Africa, Europe, and America. After arriving in the US, Lorne attended Houston Baptist University (HBU). While at HBU, he earned a BA degree in Kinesiology - Wellness Management and Sociology. Lorne also represented the University playing soccer, and as the team captain he went on to win 2010 ASC Player of the Year (NCAA Division I). Lorne was was also an ESPN Academic All American in 2009.
