Sam began and grew up playing in Colorado for a family-run club, Mount Evans United, before moving to Houston at the age of 11. After captaining school and club teams and graduating, he moved to Scotland to appear for Elgin City FC and Lossiemouth FC. Sam moved to Manchester, England where he completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and played soccer at Manchester Metropolitan University. Post-college, he moved to Austin and worked for health & fitness tech startups and provided web/mobile/marketing/IT solutions. Sam joined the Lonestar Junior Academy in 2014 at Justin Lane.
