Director of Development
Originally from Spokane, WA, Seth grew up playing soccer and has always been close to the sport as both a player and coach. He received his BA in Political Science from Whitworth University in 2005 and went on to earn his Masters of Public Administration (MPA) degree from The Evergreen State College in 2007 with a focus on Nonprofit Management.
Following his post-graduate studies, Seth went into the Peace Corps in Namibia and helped develop regional accountability structures for HIV/AIDS funds distributions to front-line service organizations throughout the Karas Region.
Upon his return to the States, Seth found his calling in nonprofit development at Bradley Angle, a domestic violence shelter in Portland, OR. After a year at Bradley Angle, Seth had the opportunity to move to Austin, TX and build a development program for a senior services organization, Coming of Austin Travis County. After two years with Coming of Age, Seth moved on to become the Development Coordinator and, later, Assistant Director for Development with Leadership Austin. After nearly three years of employment with Leadership Austin, Seth was recruited to work as the Director of Development for the Long Center for the Performing Arts. While at the Long Center, Seth earned his Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) credential in March 2016.
Seeing the opportunity to re-connect with his roots and get back to his passion for soccer, Seth had the opportunity to join the Lonestar Soccer Club team as the Director of Development in August 2017. Seth is working on building LSC's culture of philanthropy, developing a strong sponsor- and donor-base, as well as working on various models to diversify the contributed giving model for the Club. He is excited to be part of the Lonestar family and looks forward to growing with LSC over the next several years.
