Lonestar SC Supports Field Development in Westlake
Apr 29 2013 - Staff
United together in support of the project are the area's remaining youth sports organizations: Western Hills Girls Softball (WHGS), Westlake Youth Lacrosse (WYL), Westlake Youth Basketball Association (WYBA), i9 Sports (i9), and Lonestar Soccer Club (LSC). Together these organizations serve over 8,000 area children each year, in various programs.
These groups have experienced firsthand the surge of population growth in Austin and the tremendous pressure it has put on existing sports facilities. “The need for additional fields has increased at an alarming rate over the past few years and we are thrilled that the youth sports community has come together to create a space for our children to play and grow,” said Terri Rodgers, President - Western Hills Girls Softball.
