TOPSOCCER 3rd Annual Event, March 24th

The 3rd annual TopSoccer Festival at Star Soccer Complex will kick of March 24th at 8am with the Volunteer training. With the help of Star Soccer Complex, San Antonio Scorpions, Morgan’s Wonderland, NEYSO Special Teams, Missions Road Ministries  and South Texas Youth Soccer we hope to have another successful event for all of the athletes participating at this year’s festival.

The event will be full of energy and fun.  Bob Wilde, STYSA ODP Coach, and John Tomas, Former Assistant National Director of US Youth Soccer, with the help of local club and college coaches will get players started at 9:00am by having them and their Buddy simply kick the balls.  Then the coaches will lead the players and buddies through a series of skills demonstrations, activities and games.  The players will perform and practice a series of techniques like dribbling, push passes, knee passes, and various types of freestyle passes.  The will day include other fun ball activities and games.

What is Top Soccer?

US Youth Soccer TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with disabilities, organized by youth soccer association volunteers. The program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl, who has a mental or physical disability. Our goal is to enable the thousands of young athletes with disabilities to become valued and successful members of the US Youth Soccer family.
