Lonestar 96's Enjoy a Once in a Lifetime Night

Lonestar Soccer Club's 11 lucky raffle winners attended the FC Barcelona match against Club America this past Wednesday.

The group arrived to Reliant Stadium around 7pm and received their complimentary NIKE Barcelona uniforms to wear for the night.  Once the players were dressed, they entered the stadium through the players tunnel and watched the first match of the night between MLS teams, Houston Dynamo and the LA Galaxy from behind the goal on the field.  This was awesome to see Brian Ching, Landon Donovan and Cobi Jones all from the field.

After the MLS match, the group headed back into the tunnel and met FC Barcelona and took pictures and signed autographs with such players as Ronaldinho, Van Bommel, Gudjohnsen, Saviola, Marquez, Edmilson, Giuly, Eto'o and their coach, Frank Rijkaard.

The highlight of the evening came around 9:30pm when our group lined up in the tunnel, hand to hand with FC Barcelona.  The group walked out next to Club America with their Barca escorts onto Reliant Stadium's field in front of 71,000 spectators.  What a thrill for our Lonestars!

After escorting the teams out, the boys and girls headed up to their seats to watch a terrific 4-4 game with Ronaldinho earning the MVP title.   Click here for more on the Match

As a NIKE Premier Club, Lonestars were selected to have 11 players on August 9 escort FC Barcelona out of the tunnel onto the field at the recent exhibition game vs Club America.
