Welcome to the 2009 Lonestar College Showcase   

The tournament will once again be the top women’s college event of the winter.  This year’s event looks to build on the strength of last year's Lonestar College Showcase. 

Games for club teams will be scheduled to start on Saturday at 12:00 noon.

The following colleges are committed to participate in exhibition matches during the upcoming 2009 Lonestar Showcase:

Welcome to the 2008 Lonestar College Showdown    

The 5th Annual 2008 Lonestar Showdown will once again be the top men’s college recruiting event of the fall.  This year’s event looks to build on the strength of the past two Showdowns.  We had over 150 top flight teams’ playing over the Thanksgiving weekends of 2004, 2005 and 2006.  The event drew in State, Regional and National level teams and clubs from all over the country. 

College coach’s participation from NCAA Division One, Division Two, Three and NAIA schools was a very impressive list that included NCAA Conference Champions, top 20 NCAA Division One/Two/Three schools, and of course, US Men’s National staff coaches.

ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT

The Lonestar Showdown drives into its 5th year in 2008.  It is now recognized as a NIKE premier tournament, nationally recognized, and designed to promote the highest level of competition available in youth soccer. Exposure to college coaches is a major goal of the Lonestar Showdown.

Over the past two years, the event has drawn over 300 college coaches from all divisions of college soccer.  The tournament will take place during the Thanksgiving weekend for a prime opportunity to showcase your teams and players abilities to the top college coaches in the country. Games will begin on Friday and conclude on Sunday.

ABOUT AUSTIN
Austin is conveniently located in central Texas’ beautiful hill country. The city offers many fun attractions including downtown Austin with the University of Texas, 6th Street with loads of top restaurants, the state capitol building, nearby Lake Travis, and of course, our beautiful Texas fall weather.

THE LEVEL OF PLAY
The Lonestar Showdown will attract and accommodate top flight teams from around our country. The event will be limited to U16-U19 boy’s teams. Early registration is highly encouraged. National, Regional and State Champions will be guaranteed acceptance.
