It is that time of the year again when we join forces to help players in need! The P.L.A.Y. campaign has kicked off and we are hopeful for your support.
P.L.A.Y. (Protecting the Lives of All Youth) is a commitment to our mission, and to all kids who deserve acceptance regardless of who they are, where they come from, what they believe in, who they love, or the color of their skin. Giving all players in need the opportunity to be a part of Lonestar Soccer Club through the offering of financial assistance is the first step in being able to provide a safe place for a child to grow on and off the field. Your participation will ensure that all players have an inclusive environment to be themselves.
During the P.L.A.Y initiative, all club members, ages 10-19, are being asked to raise money for L.S.C.’s financial aid fund. This year’s event will utilize any aspect of play (training, scrimmages, league games, etc.) to highlight what our kids do best – playing soccer. At the same time, we will also be raising awareness behind the meaning of P.L.A.Y.
Together as a club, our goal is to raise $200,000 for players in need, with 100% of proceeds going towards the Lonestar Financial Aid program and underserved youth. Meeting this goal ensures every player, regardless of who they are, has a chance to play and be a part of a team.
