Austin, TX – 2/19/2024 – Lonestar Soccer Club announces that its Girls National Program will be joining the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) competitive platform. Beginning in the 2024/2025 season, LSC Girls National Program will compete in the ECNL Regional League. “The decision to return the LSC Girls National Program to the ECNL platform aligns with our club’s commitment to the long-term development of our individual players and teams amidst the evolving soccer landscape in Texas and the U.S.” says Brian Monaghan, Executive Director of Soccer.
The decision is a testament to Lonestar Soccer Club’s dedication to providing the best opportunities for its players. By becoming a member of the ECNL competitive platform, Lonestar Soccer Club aligns the girls’ side of the program with the boys’ division at the top level. This integration allows for enhanced collaboration, sharing of resources, and the creation of a unified approach to player development across genders.
“We are excited to return to the ECNL platform for our Girls’ National Program,” said Dave “Smitty” Smith, Senior Director at Lonestar Soccer Club. “This move signifies our commitment to providing a comprehensive and competitive environment for our female players. This league shift will not only elevate the level of competition but also expose our female players to broader opportunities for growth and success.”
Lonestar Soccer Club is confident that its partnership with ECNL will unlock new avenues for success, enabling its players to showcase their skills on a national stage. This collaboration is set to propel LSC to the forefront as a leader in youth soccer development as we build upon past success, employ dynamic planning and innovative strategies for the future, and put our players in a position to develop to their fullest potential and achieve their goals.
