AUSTIN, TX- Congratulations to the Lonestar 2012 Girls Red team who, in an exhilarating display of skill, teamwork, and unwavering determination, were crowned champions at the prestigious Dallas International Girls Cup. This remarkable achievement not only reflects the exceptional talent and dedication of our players but also underscores the unwavering support and guidance provided by our coaches, staff, and supporters.
The Dallas International Girls Cup is renowned worldwide for bringing together some of the most talented youth soccer teams from across the globe. It serves as a platform for young female athletes to showcase their abilities on an international stage while fostering cultural exchange and sportsmanship. Winning this tournament is a testament to the hard work and perseverance of our girls, who have demonstrated their prowess and resilience throughout the competition.
Lonestar Soccer Club faced some stiff competition on the way to becoming Champions. In round robin play beating Dallas Texans ECRL 15-0, FC Dallas ECNL 4-1, Texas Lightning 8-0. Advancing to the Quarterfinals against DKSC ECNL with a 2-0 victory. In the Semi-final round, the LSC girls beat Solar ECNL 4-2 in penalty kicks and beat Dallas Sting (Tatu) ECNL 3-1 in the tournament finale. The Lonestar girls exhibited extraordinary skill, determination, and sportsmanship. Each player contributed her unique talents and abilities, working seamlessly together to overcome formidable opponents and claim victory. Their commitment to excellence, both on and off the field, has truly been exemplary.
