Austin, TX – May 12th, 2025 – Lonestar is excited to welcome Raymond Lindquist (RJ) to its Junior National Girls Staff, where he will be working with the 2013, 2014, and 2016 age groups. Originally from Columbus, Ohio, RJ brings a proven track record of developing youth athletes in high-performance environments and a passion for nurturing the whole player, on and off the field.
RJ joins Lonestar and our Junior National staff to strengthen the future of the Lonestar’s National Program. With over a decade of experience and a background that includes time at IMG Academy and FC Sarasota, his expertise will be a valuable asset across these foundational age groups.
At IMG, RJ guided the 2007 Premier Girls to multiple standout achievements, including a Sunshine Conference title, Florida State Cup victory, and National League Pro qualification. His work at FC Sarasota included league and showcase championships, as well as helping several players progress to the MLS Next level.
“RJ’s approach to coaching is player-centered and purpose-driven,” said Vijay Dixit. “He’s not only a great coach but also a mentor who genuinely invests in the growth of every young athlete.”
His coaching philosophy emphasizes a positive, supportive environment where athletes can grow in confidence, skill, and love for the game. He has worked with players representing national teams from Aruba, Singapore, Czech Republic, Brazil, and Colombia, and has led teams at the high school level to multiple district championships.
RJ competed in both soccer and tennis at Otterbein University, where he earned his degree and began shaping his vision for player development. His playing career also included time with Cincinnati Kings at the PDL and USL League Two levels.
