The Lonestar San Antonio league is open to players interested in joining Lonestar Soccer Club at the Recreational level. As part of the collaboration with San Antonio FC and Classics Elite, the Lonestar San Antonio Recreational program is the first steppingstone for players to join the development pathway in San Antonio. For each practice and games, players need soccer specific shoes (cleats or turf shoes), a size 4 soccer ball (size 3 for U5/U6), shin guards (worn under the socks), and a water bottle.
All games take place S.T.A.R Soccer Complex and CE Blossom in San Antonio.
All teams are coached by parent volunteers with support from professional on-site Lonestar. All coaches are KidSafe, HeadsUp/SafeSport certified.
As a purely developmental league, the SAFC Juniors league does not keep standings, and no winners are announced at the end of the season.
Yes, end-of-season awards are provided at the end of the season in the last week of practice/games.
