Austin, June 13, 2024 – Lonestar Soccer Club is excited to announce the appointment of Misty Jones as the Head of Girls College Placement. With an illustrious coaching career spanning multiple collegiate levels, including NAIA and NCAA Division I, Misty brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Lonestar’s girls’ program.
Having served as the Head Coach at NCAA Division I Houston Christian University (formerly Houston Baptist) for an impressive fifteen years, Misty Jones is no stranger to the demands and intricacies of high-level collegiate soccer. Under her guidance, HBU became the most successful team in the program’s history, having won three NCAA Div. 1 titles and making two NCAA tournament appearances.
Prior to her tenure at Houston Christian University, Misty also made significant contributions to the soccer community as the Head Coach at Northwood University and as an Assistant Coach at Judson College, where she led Northwood the Knights to an NAIA Region VI runner-up finish in 2001 and helped Judson to an NCCAA regional championship and national tournament appearance.
Misty’s appointment as the Head of Girls College Placement at LSC signifies a new era of opportunity and advancement for female players within the organization.
