Austin, TX – May 1st, 2025 – Lonestar is excited to announce the addition of Nick Gordon to our Girls National Staff, where he will lead Girls ECNL RL STXCL teams based out of our Westcreek location in South Austin.
Originally from Oxford, England, Nick brings an impressive background as both a player and coach. A product of the Oxford United, Watford, and Northampton Town youth academies, he also holds a BSc in Sports Science and a Master’s in Teaching Physical Education from the University of Worcester.
Since relocating to Austin in 2008, Nick has been a vital contributor to the youth soccer landscape in Central Texas, serving as Director of Coaching at Lake Travis Elite and most recently as Girls South Program and GA Director at Capital City Soccer Club. He holds a USSF National B License, NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, and English FA Level 1 and 2 certifications, among others.
“We’re more than happy to add Nick to our Girls National Staff,” said Don Cameron, Lonestar’s Executive Director. “His leadership, experience, and deep ties to the Austin soccer community make him the ideal person to expand our elite girls platform to the south in such an important location such as Westcreek. This is a big step forward for Lonestar and for female athletes in South Austin.”
Nick added, “I am thrilled to be part of Lonestar. The reputation and infrastructure provide players the opportunities to develop and play soccer at all levels. It will be great to help the club continue its trajectory and take our teams to the next level.”
Nick’s experience and leadership will be instrumental in expanding access to elite programming and building a clear, supported pathway for national-level players in South Austin.
