Austin, TX – May 30, 2025 – Lonestar is proud to announce Lincy Villatoro as a site coordinator in the Jr. Academy program. Lincy brings a unique combination of coaching experience and administrative leadership that aligns perfectly with Lonestar’s commitment to excellence in youth development.

A native of Los Angeles, California, Lincy’s soccer journey began as a student-athlete at Texas A&M International University, where she earned her degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Biology. Her transition into coaching and club operations started with the Laredo Heat, where she spent several impactful years as both a Youth Phase Coach and a key member of the club’s administration.

During her time at Laredo Heat, Lincy played a central role in overseeing the youth structure of the club, specifically the U4-U11 age groups. She supervised community events to expand opportunities for children in low-income areas.  She also played a significant role in the expansion of the girls’ program, which saw successful participation in the Women’s Premier Soccer League U21 competition. Additionally, Lincy was responsible for organizing summer camps and ensuring the club’s semi-professional teams had the necessary resources for competitions in the National Premier Soccer League and USL League Two.

Following her time in Laredo, Lincy moved to Austin and joined Barça Academy Austin as a head coach. Her impact quickly extended beyond coaching, as she took on the roles of Development Director and Women’s Program Coordinator, where she led the development and implementation of programming, curriculum, and long-term player development strategies, significantly enhancing the academy’s infrastructure and outreach

“Lincy’s appointment is a reflection of the kind of leadership we want at every level of our Jr. Academy Program,” said Sam Wormald, Lonestar’s Head of Junior Academy. “She has proven herself as an outstanding coach, but equally important, she has demonstrated vision and initiative in every administrative role she’s undertaken. Her ability to lead, build structure, and foster community engagement is exactly what we need to guide one of our key locations.”

In her new role, Lincy will oversee program delivery, coach mentorship, and the overall developmental environment for players at her assigned Jr. Academy location, all while continuing to coach within the club. She is also currently pursuing her MBA at Huston-Tillotson University, which reflects her continued investment in leadership growth and organizational development.

“I’m truly honored to step into this role with Lonestar,” said Lincy. “I believe deeply in building systems that support both the player and the person, and I’m excited to help create that culture at the Jr. Academy level. The foundation starts early, and I’m proud to be part of shaping it.”

Lonestar is confident that Lincy will make a meaningful impact both on and off the field.
