Jacob Garnett

Jacob Garnett returns to Lonestar SC as the Junior National Head Coach, bringing with him deep Texas roots and a decorated background in both playing and coaching. Born and raised in Dallas, Jacob spent his formative years playing for the Dallas Texans ’92 Red under Coach Hassan Nizari for six years. His team collected numerous honors, including the 2008 USYS National Championship, 2006 USYS National Finalist, and U.S. Developmental Academy National Finalist titles in 2009 & 2010.

In addition to his club success, Jacob excelled at Coppell High School, earning the Golden Boot Award in 2008 and 2009, 5A Newcomer of the Year in 2010, and 1st Team All-Region honors in his senior year.

Jacob earned a Division I soccer scholarship to the University of Kentucky, and later completed his collegiate playing career at Texas Tech University, where he played on the men’s club team while earning his Bachelor of Arts in Advertising.

Since relocating to Austin, Jacob has spent the past seven years coaching with Lonestar SC, specializing in youth development throughout Central Texas. He is passionate about mentoring young athletes and is committed to continuing Lonestar’s legacy of excellence.
