Lonestar Soccer Club is proud to share our 2025-26 Impact Report, a look back at a season of development, growth, and opportunity for 12,000 players, 971 teams, and more than 700 coaches across Austin, San Antonio, and Central Texas.

The Season at a Glance
  • 12,000 players across 20+ locations
  • 14,605 games played and 32,763 trainings hosted
  • 46 college commitments
  • $684,435 in financial aid to 1,000 players this season
  • $5.8 million in financial aid to 8,750+ players since 2006
Increasing Access Through P.L.A.Y.

Family finances shouldn’t decide whether a kid gets to play. Our P.L.A.Y. (Protecting the Lives of All Youth) Financial Aid Program exists so that more kids have access to youth soccer. Financial Aid is awarded on a need-based and benefits player in every program, from Recreational to National.

Our Boca Jr. (Austin) and Tapatios (San Antonio) outreach programs brought the game to neighborhoods where access to quality programming is limited. Those programs served 464 players with reduced fees, free equipment, and bilingual coaching.

We’re proud to partner with Austin Angels to provide full financial aid to youth in foster care and at-risk situations, helping 36 kids play this season at no cost to their families.

Our community helped power this work. The 2025-26 P.L.A.Y. peer-to-peer campaign raised $110,056 from 805 individual donors, led by 502 fundraisers who asked friends and family to help more kids play.

Lonestar Joins ECNL Girls

Starting in Fall ’26, Lonestar joins the ECNL Girls in the Texas Conference, one of the most competitive leagues in the country, giving our female players a clear path to college and professional soccer. Read more about our ECNL Girls promotion.

In March, we launched our She Leads the Field campaign, celebrating Lonestar’s female players, coaches, and staff throughout the month. At the end of the month, we hosted a free clinic led entirely by women coaches that welcomed more than 100 girls.

New Fields at Williamson County Regional Park

In partnership with Williamson County, Lonestar sponsored the conversion of four grass fields at WCRP to FIFA-certified turf opening spring 2027. They will be the only publicly accessible FIFA-certified fields in the Austin area, increasing playable hours for our players and all community members in the region.

“ …[C]onverting these four fields to an artificial surface represents a major investment in the future of youth sports… This project will benefit thousands of athletes and families for years to come and it reflects what can be accomplished when public and nonprofit partners work together with a shared vision.”

– John Buckler, President of Lonestar

Lonestar Seeks a Naming Rights Partner for WCRP

Lonestar holds the naming rights at WCRP, and we’re looking for a partner to put their name on one of Central Texas’s premier youth sports destinations. It’s a chance to stand in front of thousands of athletes and families every season while investing directly in the community.

Learn about WCRP naming rights or contact Liv Welsh, Head of Development, at lwelsh@lonestar-sc.com.

Thank You to Our Partners

TengoInternet supports Lonestar at every level. As front jersey sponsor of our USL League Two, USL W, and San Antonio teams, and a generous supporter of P.L.A.Y., they help players compete at the highest level while keeping the game open to everyone.

Dell Children’s knows that access to youth sports is a public health issue and a way to build healthier communities. Beyond the athletic trainers who care for our players, their $100,000 investment in P.L.A.Y. has helped hundreds of young athletes take the field. We’re grateful for their continued partnership and excited to keep building it for Lonestar families.

We are deeply grateful to all of our partners who helped fuel the impact of our 2025-26 season. Every sponsorship and gift opened the door for more kids to play, created pathways to the highest levels of the game, and strengthened the communities we call home.

Thank you for investing in the future of Central Texas youth soccer.
